Unfinished Solid Red Oak Hardwood Flooring for Site Finished Projects

Unfinished Solid Red Oak flooring has long been one of the most widely used domestic hardwoods due to its strength, consistent performance, and classic appearance. Its open grain structure accepts stain exceptionally well, making it a popular choice for both traditional and modern interiors. Because it is supplied unfinished, Red Oak allows full control over sanding, staining, and finishing on site to achieve the desired color and sheen.

Our Unfinished Solid Red Oak collection is produced in a plain sawn cut and offered in widths ranging from 2 1/4 inches through 8 inches. Standard length options include 1 foot to 10 feet and 2 feet to 10 feet, with longer lengths available upon request for larger or more design driven installations. Solid Red Oak is typically installed using nail or staple down methods over plywood subfloors and performs well in both residential and light commercial environments.

This collection includes multiple grade options to accommodate a wide range of aesthetic preferences and budgets. Higher grades provide a cleaner, more uniform appearance, while lower grades introduce increased natural character, color variation, and visual interest. As grade decreases, the amount of knots, mineral streaks, and grain movement increases, creating a more rustic finished floor.
