2 1/4" Unfinished Solid Rift & Quartered White Oak Character Flooring
This 2 1/4" unfinished solid rift & quartered white oak flooring in Character grade is milled to highlight tight, linear grain with limited cathedral pattern and a more natural overall appearance. Character grade allows for knots, mineral streaks, and color variation, making it a strong option for projects that want authentic wood character with the refined look of rift and quartered material.
Rift and quartered sawing improves dimensional stability by reducing tangential movement compared to plain sawn flooring. In a 2 1/4" width, this cut creates a classic strip-floor look with dependable long-term performance. Solid planks are commonly installed using nail or staple-down methods, and glue-assist may be recommended depending on site conditions and manufacturer requirements.
Unfinished construction allows complete finish flexibility, giving you full control over stain color and sheen applied on site. Character grade rift and quartered white oak works especially well in projects that want a clean grain pattern with more natural visual variation. Always test your full finish system on sample boards prior to installation.

Shipping
Shipping Overview
At Pro Hardwood, we use specialized freight carriers for shipping large hardwood flooring orders. Your product will be securely stacked on pallets and delivered curbside. Once your order is in transit, a freight representative will contact you to schedule delivery.
Transit Times & Delivery Appointments
Delivery times vary by location—generally, 2-4 days for the East/Central U.S. and 4-6 days for the West Coast. Delivery dates are estimates, and the freight carrier will contact you to schedule an appointment at least one day in advance. Be sure to inspect your shipment upon arrival.
Unloading & Pickup
Deliveries are curbside, and you may need assistance unloading. Liftgate service is not guaranteed. If you’re picking up at the freight terminal, ensure you have proper equipment and pick up within 5 business days to avoid fees.
Damage & Inspection
Inspect your shipment for accuracy and damage upon delivery. Document any issues and contact us immediately for assistance. Failure to note damage may affect claims.

Return Policy Overview
Cancellation Requests
Cancellations are handled based on the stage of the order and product type. Custom-made flooring and accessories cannot be cancelled once production begins. A restocking fee may apply for cancellations during production. If an order has shipped, restocking and shipping costs will apply. All cancellation requests must be confirmed in writing by Pro Hardwood.
Return Policy
Returns must be initiated within 30 days of purchase, with approval from a Pro Hardwood representative. A restocking fee applies, and customers are responsible for return shipping. Only products in original, unopened packaging are eligible for return. Special orders, custom materials, and certain other items are not returnable. Retain extra flooring materials for potential future repairs, especially for discontinued products.
