Unfinished Solid Tigerwood hardwood flooring is prized for its dramatic appearance and exceptional hardness. This South American exotic species features natural striping and color variation that ranges from warm golden tones to deep reddish brown, creating a dynamic and visually striking finished floor. Because Tigerwood is supplied unfinished, it allows complete control over sanding, staining, and finishing on site to achieve the desired final look.
This collection is offered in Clear Grade, providing a clean and consistent base while still allowing the natural character of Tigerwood to shine through. Planks are available in widths ranging from 2 1/4 inches through 5 inches and produced in lengths from 1 foot to 7 feet. Each board is kiln dried for stability and milled with tongue and groove on all four sides and square edges to ensure precise installation and a smooth finished surface.
Unfinished Solid Tigerwood is installed using traditional nail or staple down methods over plywood or wood subfloors. With a Janka hardness of approximately 2160, this species offers excellent resistance to wear and performs well in residential spaces, custom homes, and select commercial environments where durability and visual impact are both priorities.
