Unfinished Solid Brazilian Maple, also known as Garapa, is a durable exotic hardwood flooring option known for its warm golden tones, smooth grain pattern, and clean appearance. Brazilian Maple is an excellent choice for customers seeking a lighter exotic hardwood with strong performance characteristics.
Unfinished Solid Brazilian Maple Flooring for Site Finished Projects
Unfinished Solid Brazilian Maple hardwood flooring, commonly referred to as Garapa, is prized for its bright golden coloration, subtle grain structure, and impressive durability. This South American hardwood provides a lighter alternative to darker exotic species while still offering excellent hardness and long term performance. Because it is supplied unfinished, Brazilian Maple allows full control over sanding, staining, and finishing on site to achieve the desired final appearance.
This collection is offered in Clear Grade, providing a clean and consistent visual with minimal natural defects. Planks are available in widths ranging from 2 1/4 inches through 5 inches and produced in lengths from 1 foot to 7 feet. Each board is kiln dried for stability and milled with tongue and groove on all four sides and square edges to ensure precise installation and a smooth finished surface.
Unfinished Solid Brazilian Maple is installed using traditional nail or staple down methods over plywood or wood subfloors. With a Janka hardness of approximately 1650, this species offers strong resistance to wear and performs well in residential spaces, custom homes, and select commercial environments where both durability and visual clarity are important.
